Transcription: Another unmistakable desert inhabitant. An owl, yes, but which one? If you're not familiar with it, of course, its name's going to sound very odd. It's the burrowing owl, an inhabitant of open grasslands and deserts all over the West. It's called a burrowing owl because it nests in old rodent burrows, not because it's a burrower itself.
